Who studies computing subjects?

At school I am studying Applied ICT and in our class we have only to female students in our class the rest are male.

I can see that there is a very large difference in male to female students this may be because ICT is mainly a male profession as many teachers, technicians and other IT jobs mostly men do these this may be because they are more likely to adapt to new information and software making them more reliable.

The impact of a lack of female students in ICT means that ICT is to be kept a male profession as either female students just don’t want to learn or have no interest in ICT or it is a very hard subject for female students to get in to.
